Rosa Peral has been transferred from prison for the sixth time as nine years pass since the crime of the Guardia Urbana in which she killed her boyfriend, Pedro Rodríguez, along with her lover, Albert López. During this time, Peral has been involved in multiple conflicts that have resulted in sanctions, disciplinary proceedings, and the opening of up to three new criminal cases. The penitentiary itinerary of the former urban guard is as follows: Wad-Ras, Brians 1, Mas d’Enric, Wad-Ras, Brians 1, Mas d’Enric and, now, again, Brians 1.

A Louisiana father shot and killed eight children, including seven of his own, in an attack on his family Sunday morning that spanned two homes in a Shreveport neighborhood shocked by one of the country’s deadliest mass shootings in recent years, police said. Two women, including the attacker’s wife —the children’s mother—, were also seriously injured, according to Chris Bordelon, a spokesperson for the Shreveport Police Department. Authorities noted that the children —all killed in the same house— were between 3 and 11 years old. The attacker, identified as 31-year-old Shamar Elkins, died after a police chase that ended when officers opened fire on him, according to Bordelon.

A gunman killed eight children in Louisiana in several domestic violence-related shootings that occurred in different homes early Sunday morning, Shreveport police reported. The victims were between one and 14 years old, said Shreveport police spokesman Chris Bordelon. A total of ten people were wounded by gunfire. The gunman later died after a pursuit with officers who shot him, Bordelon explained.
