The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, and the Minister of Health, Mónica García, will hold a press conference starting at 13:15 at the Moncloa Complex, following the monitoring meeting chaired today by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, to address the WHO’s request to the Government of Spain to host the vessel MV Hondius in the Canary Islands, in compliance with international law and the humanitarian spirit.

Mossos d’Esquadra has reported that on April 16 a man of about 30 years old was arrested in Arenys de Mar (Maresme) as the alleged perpetrator of a sexual assault. The investigation had started in February, when the Mossos became aware of the admission of a woman to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital in Badalona, who was in very serious condition. The initial procedures confirmed that the victim had very serious injuries consistent with a sexual assault, as well as various fractures.

In Spain, more than 30% of people over 65 years old have hearing loss. However, many of them take more than eight years to seek a solution, which limits their opportunities to socialize, participate in daily activities, and maintain an active social life.
