A girl injured by a stray bullet in a shooting in Badalona

A 10-year-old girl has been injured after being hit in the arm by a stray bullet in a shooting in Badalona. The incident occurred this afternoon around 7:15 p.m. when the minor was caught in a gunfire exchange in the Sant Roc neighborhood, according to the Mossos d’Esquadra. According to initial hypotheses, the bullet ricocheted and struck the girl’s arm. The girl was taken to the Esperit Sant hospital with minor injuries in a private vehicle of her family members.

The shooting took place on Còrdova street in the municipality, right on the border separating Badalona and Sant Adrià del Besòs. Apparently, eight shots were fired and the Mossos deployed in the area found four bullet casings. The Mossos have deployed agents from the riot control unit of the Operational Resources Area (ARRO) to reinforce security in the neighborhood after this new episode. The Criminal Investigation Area of the Mossos has taken charge of the investigations to clarify what happened.
