Francesc Augé, a 56-year-old resident of Vallirana and euthanasia applicant, has been admitted to a hospital in the province of Barcelona after attempting suicide at his home. According to Cadena SER, the events occurred last Sunday, when he was alone in his home and sent a farewell message to one of his contacts, who was unable to reach him the following morning.

Despite the father’s withdrawal, the courts have not reactivated the process and the case had to return to the contentious court of Barcelona to start from scratch
The authorities found him dazed and still alive in his home, where he had tried to take his own life after ingesting a cocktail of pills. Augé was admitted with a case of poisoning and has been transferred to another medical center for psychiatric hospitalization, according to the network.
Francesc has been waiting for a little over two years for the application of the euthanasia law, which he requested after suffering two heart attacks and four strokes, which have left him with sequelae and severe physical and psychological discomfort. However, his will to die with dignity was met with opposition from his father, who took the case to court to try to prevent the application of euthanasia.
