Two of the people injured on Saturday in the rain episode that occurred this weekend on the Costa Daurada (Tarragona) died during the night of this Tuesday at the Hospital Universitari Joan XXIII de Tarragona, according to sources from the Departament de Salut confirmed to ACN. Both, mother and daughter, were sleeping next to the grandfather in one of the stalls of the market at the marina of Roda de Berà. The force of the water knocked down the wall that separated the street from a private property and it fell on them.

The Civil Guard is investigating the death of an Irish couple, aged 50 and 45, whose bodies were found this Tuesday afternoon by their two minor children in the jacuzzi of the family home, located in a residential area of Cullera (Valencia). The bodies did not initially show obvious signs of violence, although investigators have detected some indications that could suggest an unusual circumstance occurred and also that they may have consumed drugs before their death, among other hypotheses.

In just ten days, the Collserola mountain range caught fire again. This time, the fire was more virulent than the previous fire that started in Sarrià. Yesterday, it was the residents of Nou Barris, from the neighborhoods of Ciutat Meridiana and Torre Baró, who watched with greater anguish the proximity of flames that devastated a perimeter of 35 hectares, mostly scrubland, although wooded areas that will take longer to recover have also been lost.

The firefighters are working to extinguish a new fire in the north of Collserola, declared this Tuesday afternoon near the Canyelles neighborhood, in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona. The fire is located above the Alta de Roquetes road heading towards Sant Cugat. A large column of smoke is visible from different points in the city.

Los Bombers have attended, between 5:00 and 6:30 p.m. this Monday, 129 calls due to storms hitting various points in Catalonia, especially the southwest of the territory. Up to 107 of the calls have occurred in the province of Tarragona. Most of the incidents correspond to fallen trees and branches, minor flooding, and snapping cables. The rains, accompanied by strong gusts of wind and hail, have left more than 20 liters per square meter in half an hour in some areas. In the city of Tarragona, for example, the heavy downpour has flooded some avenues.

The early Saturday morning rainfall in the northern Costa Daurada exceeded all forecasts by the Govern. The administrations did not issue any Es-Alert, the phones did not ring more than usual, the public did not receive any noisy warnings on their phones… and within a few hours, more than 400 people had to be evacuated and eleven were injured, one of them critically.

The fire declared in the municipality of Segorbe (Castellón), which during the afternoon of this Friday forced the evacuation of the Valencian town of Gátova, remains out of control and already affects part of the Sierra Calderona Natural Park. The fire has temporarily burned 423 hectares and has generated a perimeter of 11.4 kilometers, according to data provided by the Minister of Emergencies and Interior, Juan Carlos Valderrama, after the meeting of the Integrated Operational Coordination Center (Cecopi).
