Two of the people injured on Saturday in the rain episode that occurred this weekend on the Costa Daurada (Tarragona) died during the night of this Tuesday at the Hospital Universitari Joan XXIII de Tarragona, according to sources from the Departament de Salut confirmed to ACN. Both, mother and daughter, were sleeping next to the grandfather in one of the stalls of the market at the marina of Roda de Berà. The force of the water knocked down the wall that separated the street from a private property and it fell on them.

Last Saturday, a strong storm episode affected with special intensity the municipalities of Roda de Berà, El Vendrell, Creixell and Torredembarra, where at least 11 people were injured. The torrential rains also forced the evacuation of hundreds of residents and caused floods, rescues, and cuts both in the railway network and on several roads in the area.
