The Mossos d’Esquadra are investigating the death of two 11-year-old twin brothers who are believed to have drowned in the Ter River in Manlleu (Osona).

The parents reported the disappearance of the minors early Monday morning after seeing that the youngsters did not return home, and the Catalan police located both bodies this noon in the riverbed.
As reported by ‘ElCaso’ and confirmed by the ACN agency, the investigation was carried out throughout the morning with teams from the underwater unit and also with drones.

The first body was found at one in the afternoon and around two the second. The police are working with the hypothesis that it was an accidental drowning although the investigation remains open.
