The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested this Tuesday Jonathan Andic, son of the businessman and founder of Mango, Isak Andic, accused of homicide. Isak Andic died on December 14, 2024, in Montserrat, according to sources familiar with the investigation confirmed to La Vanguardia.
The businessman, who has always denied any responsibility in his father’s death, which he claims was accidental while they were both walking in the mountains, is being taken to the courts of Martorell, where he will be questioned.
In January 2025, the case regarding the businessman’s death had been closed due to lack of evidence of a crime
The judge handling the case formally opened an investigation against Isak Andic’s eldest son, who was precisely accompanying his father when he fell into the void last October. It also emerged then that the Mossos were analyzing Jonathan Andic’s mobile phone, whose lawyers demanded that the lawyer inform them of their client’s procedural status.

In November 2025, the case took a new turn when the judge investigating the businessman’s death took statements from Isak Andic’s daughters, Jonathan’s sisters, and the businessman’s brother. It was a month before the first anniversary of Isak’s death, in which both Jonathan and his sisters, Judith and Sarah Andic, remembered their father, emphasizing a “legacy that inspires the future of our family and his business work.”
All of the above happened before the arrest this Tuesday of Andic’s firstborn. It is worth remembering that, in January 2025, the case regarding the businessman’s death had been closed due to lack of evidence of a crime.
