The order from the judge of the instruction court number 5 of Martorell states that Jonathan Andic learned in mid-2024 that his father wanted to promote a foundation aimed at helping vulnerable people and that this news caused a “notable change” in his attitude. According to the resolution made public yesterday, the eldest son then tried to mend the relationship with his father and even acknowledged that his behavior with money “was not correct.”
The magistrate considers that this philanthropic project could have fueled an alleged “economic motive” behind the death of the founder of Mango. The judicial document depicts a very deteriorated relationship between father and son and states that Jonathan Andic’s obsession with the inheritance caused strong family disagreements for years.

According to the investigation, Isak Andic had even advanced part of the inheritance to maintain the bond with his son. The judge attributes a relevant role in this rapprochement to psychologist J.L., whom she points to as a figure who would have encouraged the businessman to accede to Jonathan Andic’s requests to avoid a definitive break.
The resolution also includes WhatsApp messages and personal writings that, according to the investigators, reflect long-lasting resentment and emotional conflicts. The order speaks of “hatred,” “grudge,” and even ideas related to the disappearance of the paternal figure. It also states that Jonathan Andic considered the inheritance during his father’s lifetime as the only possible solution to his situation.
The foundation plan has not yet materialized. Sources close to the family explain that Isak Andic had been interested for some time in leaving a social legacy beyond Mango, following the path of other great businessmen who have channeled part of their heritage towards charitable and cultural initiatives. The idea had been taking shape over the last few years, although there was still no officially constituted structure.
