In statements to the media after visiting the Zaragoza air base, Robles made it clear that they will not “catch her in any kind of discussion” about the role of intelligence services in the migration crisis and praised the work of the personnel of the National Intelligence Center (CNI), the Armed Forces Intelligence Center (CIFAS), and the information services of the Police and Civil Guard, who also collaborate with other foreign allied services.
Robles wanted to show her recognition to the “excellent” professionals who make up the intelligence services and highlighted that their work is highly valued at the European level.
That said, the minister proclaimed that “everyone must be very clear that Spanish territorial integrity and sovereignty are untouchable, that Ceuta and Melilla are not to be touched,” emphasizing that the Army will always be supporting the Civil Guard in the tasks that need to be carried out in the two autonomous cities.

Likewise, she warned that the mafias or whoever “has consented to or tolerated” this massive entry of migrants “will have to take responsibility” for this crisis.
Therefore, she has requested the Government of Morocco to investigate what “happened” and “go to the end to find out what happened in those movements” at the border with Ceuta and Melilla. “Neither Spain nor Morocco can look the other way in the face of this human tragedy,” Robles exclaimed.
Moreover, she added that “it cannot be” that minors are used “throwing them to death just like that” and stated that the responsibility for the deaths that have occurred in this crisis lies with those who “organize through mafias and deceive people” by telling them they will enter “irregularly and illegally.” “Those are the responsible ones,” she concluded.
