National Police officers have arrested a pregnant woman at Adolfo Suárez Madrid Barajas Airport who tried to smuggle 69 cocaine pellets hidden inside her body.

The events occurred on the 9th when the woman landed at the Madrid airport around 1 a.m. on a flight from abroad, according to police sources.
Upon arriving at the passenger control in Terminal 1, officers from the Judicial Police Narcotics Group at the airport, who were conducting selective checks in the arrivals area, noticed suspicious behavior in the young woman.
She carried 16 packages in the genital area
After being identified, the woman, visibly nervous, voluntarily admitted that she was pregnant and was hiding a large number of packages containing narcotic substances inside her body.

Among them, 16 were lodged in the genital area, which the young woman voluntarily expelled at the airport. After a reagent was applied to the substance by the officers, it was confirmed to be cocaine.
The young woman was taken to the hospital to ensure her safety and health. Under medical supervision, it was confirmed that she carried 53 more packages inside her body, all anatomically shaped to facilitate their insertion.
Analytical tests verified the presence of the narcotic substance. Once the tests were completed and her physical integrity ensured, the young woman was arrested and brought before the court as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health.
