The sum of PP and Vox approved this Friday the law on fiscal measures, administrative and financial management, and organization of the Generalitat Valenciana, also known as the accompaniment to the 2026 regional budgets, against the rejection of PSPV-PSOE and Compromís.

In the last plenary session of the political course, this law on fiscal measures passed with 53 votes in favor, the sum of 40 from PP and 13 from Vox, and 42 votes against from the socialists and Compromís, thus completing the agreement that allowed the approval of the third budgets of the Generalitat of the legislature – the first of Juanfran Pérez Llorca as president – after PP accepted all Vox amendments except the one requesting a further cut to the budget of the Acadèmia Valenciana de la Llengua.
The popular spokesperson, Nando Pastor, highlighted the agreement with Vox and pointed out that these measures will simplify bureaucratic procedures and lower taxes, while 350 million euros will be dedicated to housing.

After highlighting President Pérez Llorca’s capacity for dialogue, the PP spokesman valued that both parties have been able to set aside the differences between them to advance such an important matter as the 2026 budgets, from which Valencian men and women will benefit starting tomorrow.
“I have always said that Vox is a good partner and I feel very comfortable saying it” since, on the other hand, he would feel “very uncomfortable, even nauseous, if I had to say thank you Otegi, thank you Bildu or thank you Arnaldo.”
The Vox spokesman, José María Llanos, welcomed the approval since, although these accounts “are not Vox’s,” they do include their contributions and advance the concept of national priority, whose guiding principle had been included in the Budget Law and now in the Accompaniment Law “appears” regarding requirements for access to public housing.

From the left opposition, José Muñoz, from PSPV-PSOE, criticized that tax cuts are made for those earning more than 100,000 euros annually and added that Juanfran Pérez Llorca’s PP approves laws “hand in hand with those who talk about unaccompanied minors as if they were Amazon packages.”
In his opinion, PP practices “a false patriotism that makes 99.9 percent of Valencians live worse,” which will mean that “just as the Valencian Community was the first laboratory of the far right in Spain, it will also be the first place where citizens will throw them out on the street.”
The spokesperson of Compromís, Joan Baldoví, placed the accounts in an “ideological extremism” tailored to PP and Vox, and agreed with the socialists that in a “shameful” way privileged people benefit “and those with the least income are punished.”

He regretted that Vox is “satisfied” with the accounts as a whole because it has seen its “ideological extremism” reflected against necessary policies for Health, Education, and Social Services.
