The National Police have opened an investigation to clarify the violent death of a woman whose body was found on Monday afternoon in a home in the Pere Garau neighborhood of Palma.

Although details about the circumstances of the crime are currently unknown, the facts are being investigated as a homicide, sources close to the case have confirmed to Europa Press.
The first to arrive at the place where the body was found, a home at number 17 Gaspar Llabrés street, were several patrols of the Palma Local Police.
Despite the efforts of the medical teams, it was not possible to save the victim’s life and the doctors could only certify her death.

The lifeless body, according to sources from the municipal force, corresponds to that of a woman approximately 75 years old. The officers have arrested one person for these events. According to initial information, the detainee is another woman, 36 years old and of Spanish nationality.
