Burger King has ended its promotional agreement with the streamer El Xokas, one of the most popular Spanish YouTubers and streamers, following the controversy generated by several of his public statements. As a result, the restaurant chain has removed both the content creator’s image and the menu bearing his name from its website.

Through a statement released on social media, Burger King explained that the opinions expressed by the streamer do not reflect the principles or values upheld by the brand. Additionally, it extended its apologies to those who may have felt upset or disappointed by the collaboration.

The decision comes after a live broadcast in which El Xokas was involved in several verbal confrontations with viewers. In one of them, after insulting a user’s mother, he boasted about his financial situation with derogatory comments. When another user asked him about tickets for the World Cup final, he responded by comparing his income with that of the family of his interlocutor. “I have earned more in a promo from Burger King than your parents in 20 years of working,” was one of his remarks.
These statements add to another recent controversy involving actress Ester Expósito. Although he publicly acknowledged her physical attractiveness, he stated that he would never have a relationship with her due to her political views. “It’s not worth being with a woman like that,” he said, referring to her feminism, “because of her political thinking and doctrine.”
Criticism towards the streamer has intensified due to the accumulation of insults and aggressive messages directed at various groups and institutions, including comments against the Government, the tax system, and equality policies.
