Bryan Johnson is known worldwide for his tireless fight against aging and death. The millionaire, who maintains a strict routine and exposes himself to the latest anti-aging experiments – he has even injected himself with his son’s plasma – has now announced that he suffers from a chronic autoimmune disease.
”I have an autoimmune disease. My stomach is eating itself,” the magnate reveals in a video posted on his official Instagram account. Johnson details in the same video that this disease, autoimmune atrophic gastritis, causes irreversible damage and in the long term carries a higher risk of cancer. However, he is determined to cure himself.
His plan is to use artificial intelligence to find a cure and achieve his goal of reaching immortality by 2039. “In the era of AI, multi-omics, and DNA, custom-designed proteins and cells, no disease should be considered incurable simply because no one has tried to cure it with current technologies,” he asserts in one of his posts.
The entrepreneur started his project to seek immortality in 2021 by launching the Project Blueprint initiative. A Netflix documentary catapulted him to worldwide fame.
In the documentary, Johnson explains what his daily life is like, the strict diet, and his relationship with his teenage son, who, like him, has also embarked on this journey toward the search for immortality.
The father and son’s routine consists of getting up at 5:30 in the morning, taking vitamins, and meditating. After breakfast – he always eats the same: two and a half grams of creatine, eight drops of manganese, 125 micrograms of liquid iodine, 20 grams of collagen peptides, two tablespoons of spermidine, 500 milligrams of cocoa, and a teaspoon of cinnamon – he exercises several times a day and measures his vital signs.
