‘La gran cita’ is a large-scale dating entertainment show from 3Cat, with the original idea and production by Incís TV, which combines reality, emotion, and technology and is especially aimed at a young audience. The program premiered on April 20 and became one of the most successful launches on the 3Cat platform, with over 1.5 million accumulated views in 3Cat’s digital environment and more than 20 million views on social networks.
The agreement represents, according to 3Cat, “a historic milestone for the Catalan audiovisual industry” and a new step in the external projection strategy of the Catalan corporation. The goal of this strategy is to boost the international commercialization of its content, generate new business opportunities, and strengthen 3Cat’s position as a creator of competitive formats in the global audiovisual market.

The operation comes after interest shown by major international producers and distributors from more than ten territories, attracted by the program’s international potential, the originality of the format, and the uniqueness of its proposal within the reality genre. Ultimately, 3Cat has chosen BBC Studios, which will work on developing ‘La gran cita’ to adapt it to different territories and audiences.
The second season of the program will begin filming this week and will feature new contestants and new dynamics. Meanwhile, BBC Studios is preparing the international presentation of the format, which will be one of the four titles the British company will take to Cannes for MIPCOM 2026, one of the main global audiovisual content fairs, starting next October 12.
