The Mobile Brigade officers charged when demonstrators from various Catalan antifascist entities and associations, who gathered at Passeig del Born to protest against the presence of AC, tried to break through the police cordon.
The antifascist demonstrators responded to the police action with the shout “without police they are nothing,” while the Mossos took away the banner that led the demonstration, which ultimately remained with AC supporters.

However, more than an hour before the call, Mossos officers deployed at the Fossar de les Moreres and the surrounding streets to control access to this space, where, according to official sources consulted by EFE, Aliança Catalana formally requested authorization to hold its traditional floral offering there this afternoon on the eve of the Diada.

A cordon of Mossos agents prevents the passage of demonstrators called by left-wing independentist organizations and allows passage to those who will participate in the Aliança event, who are already beginning to fill the Fossar with ‘estelada’ flags and party symbolism. Shortly before five in the afternoon, the AC leader, Sílvia Orriols, was able to enter the square, escorted by the Brimo.
