The spokesperson of Esquerra Republicana (ERC) in the Congress, Gabriel Rufián, has stated that he is “willing” to lead the space to the left of the Socialist Party and run as the head of the list in the next general elections scheduled for July 2027.
“If my presence can help, I am willing. Of course,” Rufián said this Wednesday at a Club Siglo XXI event covered by Europa Press, although he emphasized that it should be the progressive parties who agree on the visible face of the project.
Rufián has claimed the pull that left-wing forces “rooted in the territory” are having, such as CHA in Aragón and Adelante Andalucía, whose candidate, José Ignacio García, he praised for his campaign as an example of the message the left should adopt.
