A total of 21 migrants, all of them Moroccan, have been detained in the last few hours in Ceuta for their alleged involvement in a new stone-throwing attack on a military patrol, as well as on civil guards, without any injuries occurring.

The incident occurred late Saturday night near Trampolín beach, a place where hundreds of migrants continue to sleep in this coastal area.
According to police sources reported to Efe, the migrants were involved in fights among themselves, after which they chose to throw stones at a patrol of the Armed Forces that was nearby. The Civil Guard intervened and was also stoned, incidents that ended with the arrest of 21 people.
The Spanish Troop and Navy Association (ATME) regretted the incidents this Sunday and stated that these events against the Armed Forces are repeating “because they are not vested with sufficient authority to carry out their work effectively and decisively.”

The ATME has demanded “immediate” recognition as authority agents and also as a “risky profession since every day the confrontations are more numerous and the assaults more continuous.”
“We cannot continue in this situation and we raise the alarm that we have been sounding for a month,” added the military organization.
