Although initially some residents posted videos and comments on social media suggesting it was an aircraft used by the Mossos, it was not part of any police operation, but rather a production company conducting a filming, with the proper authorization.

Police sources explained that although the helicopter was dark blue with red checkers associated with the image of the Mossos d’Esquadra, it is not owned by the police, as it is rented from the same company that rented it this Sunday to the production company.
The same sources emphasized that despite having the corporate colors of the Catalan police force, the helicopter that flew over Barcelona this morning did not have the letters Mossos d’Esquadra labeled on it.

“A helicopter has been circling Barcelona for 15 minutes, since 9 in the morning. Is this normal?” complained a citizen on social media. “What happened that we have a helicopter flying very low over Barcelona?” wondered another person.
