At the second dinner I appreciated a warmer personality and genuine cordiality, the opposite of smoke sellers. There he won me over because, being the first fortune of Catalonia, he listened, even to a nobody newly arrived from Israel in the middle of a war. The last thing he did was to let out his opinions and try to impose his points of view. He conveyed that magnetism of great men, with the added value of a self-made man. Of the entrepreneur to whom no one has given anything and who deserves every last euro of his fortune. In this country, as in all, we lack people like that. Those who, by demanding rights, forget obligations, we already have plenty.

We met for the last time at the Planeta award party, October 15, 2024. He had the courtesy to come over to greet. A gesture that no classist would have had (classism is a very interclass defect in Spain). On December 14 he died as he did, without time to continue enjoying life, wines, sailing, and all the pleasures he had earned through hard work, becoming rich and creating wealth for others.

He seemed to me a fair man, one of those who today would say let justice work and not speak just for the sake of speaking. And that intensifies the bad taste in the mouth for tot plegat.
