The Community of Madrid activated Operational Situation 2 of the Forest Fire Plan this Wednesday due to the forest fire in Almorox (Toledo), which has forced the evacuation of the El Encinar del Alberche urbanization in the Madrid municipality of Villa Del Prado, where the population has been confined.

The Madrid 112 Security and Emergency Agency (ASEM112) has sent two ES-Alert messages to residents in the area to inform them. According to ASEM112, the first message asked residents to remain inside their homes until further notice, with doors and windows closed.
The second ES-Alert message is addressed to residents in the vicinity of the Encinar del Alberche urbanization, the inhabitants of Ribera del Alberche, Rincón del Alberche, and the campsite, ordering them to go inside the town of Aldea del Fresno. Authorities have also asked residents to exercise extreme caution when traveling due to poor visibility caused by smoke.
The activation of this regional fire plan occurred after the Castilla-La Mancha Forest Fire Prevention and Extinction Service (Infocam) cut the N-403 due to the active forest fire in this Toledo town. In addition, at seven in the evening, the M-507 was cut in the direction of Navalcarnero.

According to Emergencias 112 of the Community of Madrid, 15 ground and air units from the Madrid Community Firefighters and regional Forest Firefighters have been deployed to the area.
Forest firefighters from Infocam are also working on the fire, bringing the total mobilized to 8 ground units and 27 personnel.
