Finally, after a productive meeting at Valdebebas this Wednesday, both have reached an agreement that was made official this very afternoon: the Brazilian renews with Real Madrid until 2032, a contract for six more seasons.

The differences were financial. Finally, between what Vinícius asked for (30 million euros according to various media) and what the white club offered (around 20) a middle ground was reached (24 million according to SER), which serves to tie down one of the club’s iconic players despite the irregular campaign last season in which he was even booed at times for his performance and his confrontation with Xabi Alonso.

Without a doubt, if he fulfills the contract, he will become one of the longest-serving players of the white team and also one of those who have given the most performance.
“He has won 14 titles: 2 Champions Leagues, 3 Club World Cups, 2 European Super Cups, 3 Leagues, 1 Copa del Rey and 3 Spanish Super Cups. His contribution to all these titles has been transcendental for his play, his assists and his goals, among them those he scored in the last two Champions League finals that Real Madrid has won: the Fourteenth (Paris, 2022) and the Fifteenth (London, 2024),” reads the white team’s statement.
The player arrived from Brazil on Sunday eager to resolve the renewal, as he had warned during the World Cup, and so it has been. Some sources hinted that Arsenal’s offer, beyond the interest, was a strategy to get more money, and finally that has happened, as Madrid had to make a move to please and tie down their star.
