A group of striking teachers blocked access to Casa Batlló this morning as part of protests to improve their working conditions. The action is part of a protest march associated with the strike that will take place this Tuesday along Passeig de Gràcia, called by the minority unions CGT, Intersindical, and COS.

These unions continue with the protests, unlike the major unions Ustec and Professors de Secundària, which called off this week’s strikes except for Friday. The reason is that the preliminary agreement signed between Educació and four of the five unions with negotiating power has not found support throughout the entire education sector.

Today, Tuesday, teachers from Barcelona and Barcelonès are called to a demonstration starting at 11:30 a.m. at Palau Robert, located at the top of Passeig de Gràcia, and ending at Plaça Urquinaona. The Consorci d’Educació de Barcelona is located in that direction. Tomorrow it will be Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre, and on Thursday, Lleida, Alt Pirineu, and Aran.
