Artificial Intelligence is generating increasing trust among industrial companies that consume logistics, who see this tool as an ally to improve their operations. This is determined by the XVI Barometer of the Logistics Circle 2026, published by SIL Barcelona, the reference fair in Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics, and Supply Chain, organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), which will take place from June 3 to 5 at Fira Barcelona, Montjuic.
According to the XVI Barometer of the Logistics Circle of SIL 2026, the sector strongly bets on innovation and, more specifically, on AI. In fact, 72.5% of the logistics directors and managers who participated in the study firmly believe that AI is a tool that will allow their company staff to be more productive and efficient and that it will not negatively affect the workforce at all. Likewise, 22.9% point out that, if it affects, it would be little, since they would only dispense with some people in their teams; and only 4.6% of respondents foresee considerably reducing their workforce.
In this regard, 76.6% of these companies already have some AI tool in their company or are in the process of implementing it, compared to 22.4% who have not yet done so. This figure reaffirms that companies continue to trust AI one year after being asked, as 76.3% already did in 2025.

One of the main novelties of the twenty-eighth edition of the fair will be precisely the new spaces dedicated to innovation, digitalization and talent such as the SIL Lab, or the AI Corner, dynamic areas with technological demonstrations, immersive experiences, inspiring talks and practical workshops, where practical cases, tools and trends on the use of Artificial Intelligence and other technologies in the supply chain will be shared.
Another major novelty comes with new formats and content in the SIL Knowledge program, with the participation of more than 250 speakers in a total of 7 knowledge spaces spread throughout the fairgrounds, where debates, interviews, workshops, and presentations of success cases will take place.
In this regard, the program includes new international sector days such as: the International Logistics Summit which brings together sector leaders from different countries, with entities such as CSCMP, ESC, GSA, Alice, ELA, TuComex and ICIL; the Spain Air Cargo Day, with entities such as the Air Cargo Club, BCL and ACE; the Investors Day, the Responsible Shipper Gala or the Connectivity Day, which join those already held in previous editions such as the COACAB Congress or the UNO Logistics Technical Day, among others.
