This was pointed out today by the Minister of Territory, Sílvia Paneque, in an interview on the program Els matins de TV3, in which she stated that the events are still under investigation.

Paneque explained that in this type of drilling it is not uncommon to detect small cavities where it is necessary to inject concrete to stabilize the ground. In the case of Putxet, according to initial indications, the cavity that surfaced did not receive sufficient injection.
Paneque added that today the L9 tunnel boring machine is temporarily stopped to carry out the necessary measurements of the works.

The Minister of Territory has admitted the possibility of compensating the residents and merchants affected by this incident. For now, the Generalitat and the Barcelona City Council will continue to cover the cost of relocating those affected.
A re-evaluation of the eight affected and evacuated properties is not scheduled until next Friday, a preliminary step before the gradual return of residents to their homes. The minister has ruled out the possibility of new incidents of the same type occurring during the L9 metro works. In this regard, she recalled that 43 kilometers have already been built using this drilling method and only one more kilometer remains.
