“The extinguishing tasks have been complicated by strong gusts of wind, up to about 50 kilometers per hour,” highlighted Almudena Viñas, firefighter officer of the Community of Madrid, who added that the rain falling in the early hours in the capital “favors the extinguishing of the fire.”

Viñas, however, emphasized that it will be necessary to wait “until the early hours of the morning, with the incorporation of aerial means,” which will be able to “help stabilize the most complicated areas to access,” since it is very rugged terrain and can be dangerous for the crews.

In the previous report, the Community of Madrid Firefighters informed that during the early hours of this Wednesday, 15 ground crews and four command vehicles of Firefighters, Forest Firefighters, and Forest Agents of the Community of Madrid worked on the ground.
