The Lluís Companys stadium will host Oasis on July 10 and 11 in their only concerts on the Peninsula, confirming the rumors that had been circulating for days. These performances will be part of a tour that will start in Glasgow on May 21 and end in September in Knewborth, a legendary venue for the band, as it hosted their largest concert in 1996 with 250,000 people, marking their peak of popularity.

In total there will be 34 concerts in ten European cities plus six concerts in Boston and Las Vegas. Manchester, with 11 concerts at the City’s Etihad Stadium, will be the city to see Noel and Liam the most times. Following are Dublin and Glasgow, both with five. Paris, Munich, Milan, Rome, and Amsterdam will have two dates each, as will Barcelona, and it is not ruled out that, as happened last year, more dates or cities may be added to the list. The Gallagher brothers’ last visit to Barcelona was in 2009, during what would be their farewell tour where they presented the album Dig out your soul. The English band’s first performance in the Catalan city dates back to 1996, when they presented the album What’s the story (Morning glory) at the Razzmatazz venue, then still known as Zeleste. The leading Britpop band returned to the stage in 2002, while in 1997 they performed at the Palau d’Esports, and in 2000 and 2005 they played at the Palau de la Vall d’Hebron. This new Oasis tour confirms the good connection between the Gallagher brothers, who have reconnected both on and off stage, as reflected in the documentary Don’t look back in anger, recently premiered in Venice. The footage shows the great reception from the public on last year’s tour, where they limited their European presence to the British Isles, leaving a gap they now intend to fill.
Rumors about the band’s return to the road came, as has been the case for some time now, through the band’s own social media. Rome was announced by a Vespa occupied by two people riding through a typical street in the Trastevere neighborhood, while for Boston they chose a barbershop with references to Gillette Stadium, as well as to the concert Oasis gave in the city on March 11, 1995. Another date in the U.S., Los Angeles, is hinted at by a city diner where a van is parked that, on the bumper, sports stickers referencing Roll with it and Live forever. In between, on September 11, Oasis announced with a drone show the announcement (sic) of the new tour for this September 14, a glorious afternoon for the band’s fans.
The Gallagher brothers’ reunion in 2025 began with the announcement of 17 concerts, although 41 were ultimately held with visits to America, Asia, and Oceania. The sale of UK shows caused the now traditional chaos in virtual waiting lists, with 14 million people competing for the 1.4 million available tickets, which sold out in a matter of hours while complaints about dynamic pricing increased, a way to blame the evil promoter for one’s own greed to get one of the tickets.
