The National Police has solved the homicide of a 38-year-old man committed last New Year’s Day in the Madrid district of Usera with the arrest in Toledo and Navarra of four men, who apparently were known to the victim. The assaulted man died after receiving five stab wounds.
The events took place around 10:00 PM on January 1st in Moncada street, where the victim was in the company of several people with whom he had an argument that led to a knife attack that caused his death hours later in the hospital, authorities reported this Thursday.

The case has been investigated by Group V of Homicides of the Superior Police Headquarters of Madrid, which gathered all possible information about the alleged perpetrators, confirming that they had abandoned their homes and fled from the Community of Madrid.

As their investigations progressed, they located a house in the Toledo town of El Carpio de Tajo where one of the suspects might be living, so on March 25th, they deployed a special operation in which they arrested two of the alleged perpetrators. The other two involved were arrested on May 26th in the Navarrese municipality of Larraga.
Three of the detainees are Algerian and the other is Spanish. Their ages range from 46 to 24 years old, and two of them have multiple previous records for similar assaults. For these facts and after being brought before the court, all of them have been remanded in provisional prison.
