The great flood on Wednesday on the Nepal-Tibet border has already left hundreds dead and more than a thousand missing, including many foreigners. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs currently has no record of any fatalities, but it does count four missing Spaniards who have not been located.

For this reason, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, made an appeal this Thursday to ask for the collaboration of all citizens, relatives and friends of people who are in the affected area to contact the consular emergency numbers.
Albares also reported in an audio sent to the media this Thursday that the Honorary Consulate of Spain in Nepal, the Spanish Embassy in New Delhi and the Consulate General in Beijing, “are fully mobilized to assist Spaniards.” Likewise, in a message on his social networks, the minister conveyed his condolences and solidarity with the victims and their families after the tragedy in Nepal.

This Thursday morning, the number of people missing from the flood in Nepal has risen to 1,400 after China reported hundreds of possible victims in Tibet. In addition, there are reports of missing persons of 28 nationalities. Among them 54 Americans, 34 Australians, 33 British and 17 Malaysians.
