Dylan Valdés is starting to make a name for himself away from the playing fields that for years were the usual setting for his family. The eldest son of Víctor Valdés, legendary goalkeeper of F.C. Barcelona, has taken a new step in his approach to fashion at 17 years old by walking in Madrid for Félix Ramiro. The young man participated in the presentation of College, the new collection by the Manchego designer within Madrid es Moda, held at La Nave de Madrid.

He was not alone at this debut. From the front row, his mother, Colombian model Yolanda Cardona, closely followed the show and was able to see how her son performed on the runway. Dylan shared the spotlight with a long list of well-known faces who attended the presentation, including Carmen Borrego and her son, José Almoguera, singer Antonio José, Lucas Velasco, Bea Jarrín, and Elvia Llauder.
The collection presented by Félix Ramiro offers a look at the aesthetics of American university campuses, an inspiration that served as the backdrop for Dylan’s Madrid debut. For the teenager, however, this is not exactly his first experience in front of an audience. His relationship with runways began much earlier, when he was still a child and his father was still involved in elite football.
Back then, Dylan had already walked for the brand Condor on the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway. Those childhood appearances coincided with the final years of Víctor Valdés’s career as a professional footballer, first at Barça, where he stayed for twelve seasons after training at La Masia, and later at Manchester United. Over time, that play in front of the cameras seems to have found a possible continuation.
Fashion, moreover, is not an unknown territory at home. Dylan has grown up alongside Yolanda Cardona, who has developed her career as a model and who has now been precisely one of his proudest spectators. The young man has been doing various jobs linked to this world since he was little and, with his arrival on the Madrid runway, seems ready to explore his own facet.
Dylan is the eldest of the three children that Víctor Valdés and Yolanda Cardona have together. The couple, who met in 2008 during a dinner with friends, later expanded the family with Kay, 13, and Vera, 12. The couple married in June 2017 at the church of Santa María Reina de Pedralbes, in Barcelona, in a wedding attended by numerous faces linked to Barça. Now it is Dylan who begins to build his own public path and, at least for now, he does so on a runway and following in his mother’s footsteps.
