The investigation began in November 2025 after the warning from the manager of a parcel shipping establishment in Benidorm, where a suitcase containing 16 kilograms of hashish was found and whose final destination was the United Kingdom.
The initial inquiries allowed identifying the woman who made the shipment, who provided false documentation at the time of the transaction. The investigators also verified that she went to the establishment accompanied by another person and with the logistical support of two other men, who transported the suitcase to the premises.

As the investigation progressed, the agents managed to identify those involved and confirmed that one of them was among the fugitives wanted by the British authorities for crimes related to drug trafficking, against whom an international arrest warrant was issued at the end of 2025.
