That is precisely the market that interests the Mexican drug cartels that are practically capitalizing on the export of narcotic substances around the world. This Wednesday, the National Police provided details of a new operation against drugs, this time against synthetic drugs. Investigators from the Central Narcotics Brigade dismantled a methamphetamine laboratory that had the capacity to produce 300 kilos of this dangerous drug in just three days.

The 13 detainees, all in provisional detention except for the partner of one of them who was released, were part of the Nuevo Jalisco cartel. None had a criminal record in Spain and they arrived with the sole purpose of setting up the laboratory, crystallizing the methamphetamine that arrived liquid in bottles labeled as vanilla, and bringing the material to the European market. At the facilities, investigators seized 2.5 tons of a drug especially popular in summer, in the context of festivals, endless beach parties, and raves.
