The match was scheduled for this Monday at 3:00 p.m., but the decision to cancel it was due to Preston, who will play an EFL Cup match on August 8, not having enough first-team players due to injuries and intending to face the friendly with a reserve team made up of a large number of under-21 players. Faced with this change of scenario, Barcelona is bringing forward its return home and flying out this very afternoon.

Alejandro Balde, who is carrying back discomfort, did personalized training. Hamza and Jesse Bisiwu also participated in the warm-up exercises. Later, Bisiwu had minutes, as did goalkeeper Aaron Yaakobishvili. The injured Frenkie de Jong did not play a single minute.
