Santiago Abascal traveled this Sunday to Ceuta to see the consequences of the entry of 50,000 immigrants from Morocco. And the leader of Vox not only wanted to blame Pedro Sánchez for what happened, but he said that the responsibility for what occurred is “shared” and pointed to both the Government and Morocco. “It is an act of war promoted by Morocco and tolerated and allowed by Pedro Sánchez in different ways,” said the leader of Vox, who was accompanied by Jorge Buxadé, the party’s spokesperson in Europe.
”The person responsible is Pedro Sánchez, but he shares guilt with Morocco,” said the leader of Vox, who added that it has been an “invasion” due to the entry of ”65,000 people,” according to the latest figures available. Abascal blamed Sánchez for the migration policies adopted, such as mass regularization. “Spain is defenseless,” he added.
The leader of Vox has called for “drastic measures” and demanded to “permanently militarize” the border; to provide the legal means so that the Armed Forces, National Police, and Civil Guard can defend access to Ceuta; and the closure of the border crossing. Additionally, he proposed demanding that Morocco accept the return of all Moroccans who are in an illegal situation in Spain. “Let them tell us if they accept them or are expelling them for some reason,” Abascal stated.
