The leader of Se Acabó La Fiesta (SALF), Alvise Pérez, had to be evacuated this Saturday by the National Police from the rally called by his party in the Plaza de los Reyes in Ceuta, due to counter-demonstrations led by Ceutan citizens of Moroccan origin.

Shortly after the start of the rally, the National Police escorted Alvise to the port of the autonomous city amid pressure from the counter-demonstrators, who chanted “out” until he left the area and sang slogans such as “Ceuta united, not divided” or “Ceuta, Ceuta, Ceuta” amid applause.
Before the start of the event, scheduled for 8:00 p.m., a group of neighbors had already confronted Alvise when he was in a bar in the autonomous city, escorted by the National Police and accompanied by the polemicist and ultra agitator, Vito Quiles. There he was received with shouts of “you persecute the weak” and “you take advantage of the situation to sow hatred, that’s what you are, hatred,” as well as slogans like “I am Spanish, Spanish” and “don’t be mistaken, I am in my country.”

Other citizens gathered in the area reproached the presence of the SALF leader and Quiles in the city amid the migration crisis. “We are suffering and you take advantage of the situation,” they expressed.
“If you are Islamophobes here in Ceuta, get the hell out. We don’t want you here. No violence, huh? We are not going to push. I am exercising my freedom of expression, just like you. And with my freedom of expression, I tell you to take your damn racism to hell,” said one of the neighbors.

The same scene was repeated with Núcleo Nacional, which also had a rally planned in the Plaza de los Reyes this Saturday. About 20 members of the group also had to be escorted by the National Police to the port of Ceuta, following protests by Ceutan citizens of Moroccan origin, who chanted slogans such as “let them leave” or “this is our city too.”

One of the demonstrators of Moroccan origin, Mohamed, 27 years old and resident in Ceuta, told Europa Press that “there are good people and bad people” and that “they don’t want all of them either,” since “there are also criminals.” “You have to behave well,” he said, while defending that members of groups like Núcleo Nacional “have to leave” the city.
