The socialist deputy in Les Corts Jose Díaz has asked the president of the Generalitat, Juan Francisco Pérez Llorca, to “take action” and act “immediately,” and has reminded that he has legal instruments to recover these homes and put them at the service of the general interest.
Closing of the commission without attendees
None of the five officials from the Capital Gains Area of the Alicante City Council who had been summoned this Friday to the municipal investigation commission for the scandal of the public homes of Les Naus de la Playa de San Juan appeared to testify.

He considered that the Generalitat must exercise the right of first refusal and repurchase, “cannot remain idle and without guaranteeing access to housing,” and criticized that “time cannot continue to pass while the shameless of the PP enjoy public housing paid for with the money of all the men and women of Alicante.”

Díaz lamented that the Consell “looks the other way instead of defending the public and the right to decent housing” and accused it of “giving up using all the tools at its disposal to expand the public housing stock,” according to the PSPV in a statement.
He asks the Consell to end speculation and start “really working to guarantee the right to housing” and has defended that “the priority of a government must be to protect the general interest and increase the public housing stock, not to allow operations that benefit a few to continue while thousands of Valencians have increasing difficulties accessing housing.”
