The three big names in the Spanish influencer universe have received a warning from the Administration. The National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC) has sanctioned Ibai Llanos, Jordi Wild, and Nachter for various breaches of the General Audiovisual Communication Law related to advertising and the protection of minors in content disseminated through social networks and video platforms.
Although the economic amounts are small compared to the income generated by these content creators, the resolutions set an important precedent in the growing control that authorities exert over the commercial activity of so-called influencers. After applying the reductions provided for recognition of responsibility or early payment, Ibai must pay 568 euros, Nachter 1,067 euros, and Jordi Wild 1,241.95 euros.
The first of the files affects Ibai Llanos. The CNMC considers it proven that several videos published on his X account during the presentation of the artists participating in La Velada prominently displayed a well-known beverage brand without clearly identifying it as a commercial communication. According to the regulator, the advertising was not sufficiently signposted for users to distinguish it from editorial content, thus breaching the obligation to make any sponsored content recognizable. The initial sanction, set at 710 euros, was reduced to 568 euros due to early payment.

The largest fine corresponds to Nachter, sanctioned for disseminating advertising for medicines without respecting the specific requirements established by the regulations. The body considers it proven that the creator published commercial communications related to flu medicines on his Instagram (@nachter) and Facebook (@Nachter) profiles without including the mandatory information for this type of promotion.

Legislation requires that advertising for medicines be clearly identifiable as such, specify the product when appropriate, and incorporate essential information for its correct use, as well as warnings such as the recommendation to read the leaflet or consult a pharmacist in case of doubt. The initial fine amounted to 1,779.94 euros, although it was finally reduced to 1,067 euros after Nachter acknowledged his responsibility and opted for early payment.

The third file resolved by the CNMC affects Jordi Wild and focuses on the protection of minors against potentially harmful content. The regulations oblige users of special relevance to clearly warn when content may affect the physical, mental, or moral development of minors through classification systems, warnings, visual symbols, or other technical mechanisms that allow limiting their access.

In this case, the regulator analyzed several videos published on YouTube through the channels @ElRinconDeGiorgio and @dwt_fighting, related to the Dogfight Wild Tournament event. The CNMC concludes that various extreme contact fights should have been properly classified and include visible warnings, in addition to activating the age restriction tools offered by the platform itself.
