At least six people were injured this Wednesday as a result of a gas leak that led to a large flare-up at Plaça de Sants metro station, in Barcelona, at the connection point between lines L1 and L5. According to information obtained by La Vanguardia, the injured are workers who were controlling the leak.

According to initial hypotheses, the origin of the incident points to a broken pipe. The event is concentrated in the area of the station that is closed to the public to carry out accessibility works and the installation of elevators.
