In a video circulating on social media, you can see how the violent individuals, some with metal bars, suddenly attack the fans and even punch them before fleeing on foot.
Some of the assaulted have been injured and required medical attention. So far, no arrests have been made.
The reactions have been swift. The local PSN-PSOE condemned the attack on X: “What happened today in our town during the World Cup final is absolutely reprehensible, reportable, and intolerable. Such reprehensible attitudes have no place in our town. Tolerance and respect are the basis of coexistence, and that is where the PSN works every day.”
The PP, for its part, also expressed its outrage. “This attack on a group of young people watching the World Cup final in Berriozar is intolerable. From the PP of Navarre
we strongly condemn these acts and demand the identification and arrest of those responsible. We want these scoundrels out of our streets,” it also stated on X.
