Firefighters have declared this afternoon a fire that has caught forest mass in Pontils, in the Conca de Barberà region, stabilized. The fire started in a stubble area but soon spread to a nearby wooded area. 23 ground crews and six aerial units have worked on it, and so far it has burned an area of four hectares, according to provisional data from the Agents Rurals.

The first alert was received shortly before three o’clock. The flames, which started in some stubble, reached forest mass.
