The King cannot be in Dallas (USA) this Tuesday but has sent a message of encouragement to the players of the Spanish national football team who are playing for a place in the final in the match against France. The schedule of the Royal House and that of the first World Cup semifinal have coincided on a day when the Princess of Girona awards are presented in Barcelona, while in Dallas, Spain seeks its second final, after the victory in 2010 at the South Africa World Cup. The King, as he has made known, wants to fulfill his promise and be able to be with the Spanish national team on July 19, if they play the final match of the championship to be held in New York.

The King and Queen and their daughters, Leonor and Sofía, plan to follow the match after attending the awards ceremony at the Liceu. The royal family will stay overnight in the Catalan capital as they plan to travel to Girona on Wednesday, where Leonor and her sister will visit the ruins of Empúries and, later, the four will attend the meeting of the Young Advisory Council of the foundation and the traditional meeting with the community of Princess of Girona awardees.
