Jonathan Andic’s entourage responded this Thursday to one of the clues that the judge of Martorell, Raquel Nieto, cites in the latest known order in which she warns that father and son did not habitually go for walks together, as the eldest son declared in one of his two statements at the police station. Father and son took a walk, along the coastal path of one of the Greek islands that the family visited in August 2021 aboard the yacht Itaca. The image, which heads this information, and to which La Vanguardia has had access, is part of the family album of those holidays in which there are more snapshots of both sharing walks, the same interlocutors warn.

In the same document, the judge replies that those habitual walks to which Jonathan Andic referred “were denied by Mr. Isak Andic’s service staff, who stated that they never went for walks together.”

There was another element in the magistrate’s same document that contradicted Jonathan’s version. A report from the Mossos d’Esquadra in which they claim to have analyzed the last ten years of conversations between father and son, recovered from the Mango founder’s iPhone, and in which there was no reference to going for walks together. Except for the one they ended up doing on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in Montserrat, where Isak Andic died instantly after falling into the void from the path.

Jonathan Andic’s defense already warned on Wednesday that father and son “walked habitually,” as he declared to the police, and that they would locate documentary evidence that would prove this assertion and “dismantle” the investigators’ thesis. Several photographs of them walking in the mountains were shared this Thursday by relatives of the eldest son, accused of his father’s homicide.
