Since 16:15 a section of the AP-7 highway has been closed due to an accident in the section between El Papiol and Sant Cugat del Vallès.
As a result of the incident, the road is closed to vehicle traffic between kilometers 160 and 161 southbound.
Seven fire brigade units are working on the accident involving three cars. At this moment, several people trapped inside the crashed vehicles are being rescued.

Closed in El Vendrell
Similarly, access to the B-23 from the same highway is also closed. Traffic jams may exceed one kilometer in length from Sant Cugat towards Barcelona.
On the same road, at kilometer 220, there are also traffic jams due to a lane closure near El Vendrell northbound, with traffic jams exceeding one kilometer in length.
