Passengers on American Airlines flight AA618 from Dallas to New Jersey will take a long time to forget what happened this September. When the plane was about to perform the landing maneuver, a traveler identified by various local media as Arthur Lundeen, 67 years old, had to be restrained with zip ties and duct tape in his seat apparently due to his disruptive behavior on board.
The man was traveling in first class and apparently began to harass a woman sitting next to him, uttering racist and homophobic insults that escalated to pushing staff and more passengers when they tried to intervene, even biting one of them.

Faced with the chaos in the cabin, a flight attendant provided a roll of duct tape to the passengers trying to restrain him, and that is how they managed to immobilize him until the end of the journey. The plane had to be diverted to Baltimore-Washington International Airport, where the man was arrested by authorities.
