The town of Vall d’Uixó (Castellón), where a fire affecting the surroundings of the Serra d’Espadà was declared last Saturday, has decided to postpone the start of its festivities at least until next Sunday.

The City Council thanks “the willingness” of A.C. Les Penyes en Festes and the presidents for accepting the council’s proposal to postpone the start of the big week.
“At this time, the priority of the City Council is the extinction of the fire, but also to show solidarity with the municipalities in the region that remain evacuated,” emphasize the municipal corporation.

Thus, it has been agreed to suspend the events on Friday and Saturday and to postpone the closing on Sunday morning to another day. Therefore, if the evolution of the fire allows, the festivities will begin on Sunday at noon.
“Vall d’Uixó and Les Penyes en Festes have always been supportive and, once again, we show that united we go further. We will be back!” assures the council in a message on social networks.
