The General Directorate of Water of the Generalitat Valenciana has informed the City Council of Santa Pola of the order to proceed with the provisional closure of the Gran Playa of the Alicante town “due to an altered analysis in the quality of the bathing waters”.

For that reason, today it will not be possible to access the bathing area, although the council clarifies that the sandy area can still be enjoyed. In a statement, the City Council assures that counter-samples will be collected today in order to reopen the beach as soon as favorable results are available.
