As promised, the King will be next Sunday, July 19, at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, near New York, where the Spanish team hopes to defend the championship title they won in 2010 at the South Africa World Cup, in a match they will play against the winner of the Argentina-England game held this Wednesday.

The Kings and their daughters, who this afternoon presided over the Princess of Asturias awards ceremony at the Liceu, watched the match from a private lounge of the hotel where they are staying in Barcelona. All four dressed in the white jersey, the Spanish team’s second kit, barely managed to stay seated following the different plays and hugged each other to celebrate every goal. Each jersey had their name written on the back.
In a message on social media, the Kings and their daughters congratulated each other on the result and sent a message to the players: “You have once again shown why you are one of the great teams in the world. Now, with the whole country behind you, it is time to fight for the title.

The King also contacted coach Luis de la Fuente to personally congratulate him and ask him to convey his joy and congratulations to the players for the well-deserved victory.
As he announced to them on June 26 in Guadalajara (Mexico), the King will be at the final and it is not ruled out that Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía will accompany him.
