“The conclusions of the investigation indicate that the IDF troops [Israel Defense Forces] fired at a vehicle approaching them,” states a report from the army, which identifies the car as belonging to the family of the five-year-old girl.
Following a report prepared by the Investigation and Evaluation Mechanism of the General Staff (FFAM) of Israel, the report explains that the Military Prosecutor’s Office ordered the opening of a criminal investigation in light of these findings, which will be carried out by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Military Police.

The Military Prosecutor’s Office made decisions regarding four other attacks, including the bombings against the World Central Kitchen (WCK, the NGO of Spanish chef José Andrés) convoy in April 2024 in which seven workers died. In this case, it reveals that the Prosecutor’s Office decided not to open a criminal investigation or take further measures against those involved beyond those already executed.
