The European Union unblocks the 90 billion euro loan for Ukraine

The ambassadors of the European Union member states have preliminarily agreed this Wednesday to unblock the macro-loan of 90 billion euros for Ukraine, which had been frozen for months due to Hungary’s veto. The prime minister of this country, Viktor Orbán, had conditioned financial support for Kyiv on the repair of the Druzhba pipeline, which is now operational.

Likewise, the ambassadors have agreed to unblock the process to impose the twentieth package of sanctions on Russia, in an attempt to pressure Moscow to cease its military offensive.
